This is a teaching course for T7H drivers and staff of maintenance.
Making this European level Chinese made truck serves in high efficiency.
STAGE ONE -- Warming up the truck.
1- Make sure wheel differential and axle differential is shut off.
2- Do not forget to adjust the driving mode, empty load, light load, standard load, and heavy load.
It saves a lot of fuel for you.
3- Do not push fuel pedal deep at this stage, it may wear the pistons sets, turbo, and air compressor.
4- Warm the truck in 5 minutes. If longer than 5 mins, there may cause carbon depositon in injectors.
STAGE TWO-- Drive.
1- Two steps on clutch, to gear up or down, and finish all movements in 2 seconds.
This would minimize the damage to all gear-selecting mechnism.
Above is to gear up. First step on clutch is to loose the gearbox to N gear.
Second step on clutch is to select to upper gear.
Above is to gear down. Before second step on clutch, push fuel pedal slightly to speed up engine rotation.
In standard load mode, after gear select, the rotating speed should be at 1250 to 1300r/min.
Theses results in both enough torque and fuel saving.
2- At light load mode or heavy load mode but on flat roads, it’d be better to go through low gear range as fast as you could, bypass gear up if necessary, to save fuel.
But when at high gear range, you should gear up level to level, do not bypass any gear, because ratio at high range vary widely.
3- When drive against wind, slow down your speed to save fuel; and if optional, buy a wind hood.
STAGE THREE-- Brake
1- HOWO T7H has standard ABS equipped.
So when urgent brake is necessary, step down the brake pedal and hold it.
Don’t tapping-brake, it is unnecessary and will longer the brake distance.
2- HOWO T7H standard specification is 4 channel ABS.
And 6 channel ABS is strongly recommended, because the consumption of tyre is tremendous.
3- Before turn on EVB, gear down to rise engine rotating speed.
Only then the EVB would work efficiently.
STAGE FOUR-- Maintenance
1- HOWO T7H need to change oil every 60,000km, instead of normal 10,000km.
But you need to check oil level as usual, because it consumpts as well.
2- T7H is euipped by Fleetguard fuel filters.
Do not use low quality filter as replacement, it will damage your mighty dear MAN engine.
3- Check fuel-water separator filter often, drain the water inside.
4- Check brake air circuit often, pull the water valve to drain, and change WABCO filter when needed.
